Journalism

To me, journalism is about respect for the person on the other side of the screen.

My job is to take a complicated story, find what actually matters, and hand it back clearly and without spin.

I don't tell you what to think. I give you enough to think for yourself.

Here’s what’s happening.

Here's what's happening is my daily news explainer series, written, shot, anchored, and edited entirely by me. Every episode takes one complex story and turns it into about 90 seconds of context: the background, what's happening now, and why it matters. I distribute it across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and X, where it's reached an audience of 389K+ followers and tens of millions of views. The goal is the same every day: to cut through the noise and make the news feel human.

Daily News Videos

Politics moves fast online, and context is usually the first casualty. These edits take the moments you've already seen and fill in what got left out: the setup, the stakes, and what happened next. No spin. Just the full picture.

How I build an episode.

Every episode is a one-person operation, from the first idea to the final post. Here's the whole pipeline.

It starts with story selection. I look for the story people are already seeing in their feeds and ask what's actually going on underneath it. The best ones have real stakes, a clear human angle, and a detail that makes you go, “wait, what?”

Then I write. I don't put a fact on camera unless it's provable or attributed to a named source, and I build every script to the same structure: a hook that sets the stakes, the background, what's happening now, the defense, the outcome, and what both sides are saying. Neutrality is the standard, modeled on outlets like Ground News and AllSides. I lay out the field. I don't play on it.

Next, I shoot it myself. I'm the producer, the talent, and the crew, which means I light it, frame it, and anchor it on camera in one pass, then do it again until the delivery actually lands.

Editing is where it comes together. I cut the video for pace, drop in the footage and graphics that carry the story, and keep the whole thing tight enough to finish, usually around 90 seconds.

I design a cover image built to stop a thumb mid-scroll and signal the story at a glance.

Finally, the caption. The same episode lives on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and X, and each platform rewards something different. I write captions that lead with the human stakes and adapt the framing so the piece performs everywhere it lands, not just where it was born.

One story. One person. Every step.
